Terms and Conditions
Welcome to The Arabic Guide (thearabicguide.org). These terms apply to everyone who visits the website, creates an account, buys a course, a plan or a printed book, or uses the student portal and its app. By using the website or buying anything on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the site or its content:
- For any unlawful act.
- To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on religion, sect, ethnicity, race, gender, age, national origin, or disability.
- To submit false or misleading information.
- To upload or transmit viruses or any other malicious code.
- To collect or track the personal information of others; to spam, phish, scrape, crawl or download the course content with any tool.
- To interfere with or get around the security features of the service, including the limit on devices and the locks on paid lessons.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
2. Your Account
- An account is for one person only. You may not share your login, sell it, or let others watch on your account. We may limit how many devices can use one account at the same time, and we may suspend an account that is shared.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- Give your real name and a working email address. The name on a certificate is the name you enter for it.
- Children are welcome. If you are under 18, please use The Arabic Guide with your parent’s or guardian’s permission; they make the purchase and agree to these terms for you.
- If an account is suspended or closed because of a breach of these terms, access to its courses ends and no refund is due.
3. What You Buy
- One-time purchase (lifetime access): you pay once and get lifetime access to that course, as defined in section 4.
- Plans that renew (monthly or yearly): access lasts while the plan is paid. The plan renews by itself until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your account; access then continues until the end of the period already paid, and stops after that. We may change the price of a renewing plan for the next period, after telling you by email beforehand.
- All Access: gives access to the courses and programmes listed on the offer at the time you buy. New programmes added later may or may not be included; the offer page says which.
- Prices are shown in Pakistani rupees or US dollars depending on your country. Any bank, card or currency-exchange charges are paid by the buyer.
4. Definition of Lifetime Access
- “Lifetime access” means access to the video lessons of the course you bought (including updates and additions the teacher makes to them), the course book PDFs where they are offered, and the certificate of completion when you finish the course, for as long as the course stays published on The Arabic Guide and the platform keeps operating.
- It does not mean access beyond the life of The Arabic Guide or its services, and it is not access for the life of the student.
- A course may be withdrawn or replaced, for example by a newer edition. Where we can, we will tell students in advance and offer the replacement course.
5. Learning Tools and Extra Features
Alongside the videos we provide learning tools, for example flashcards, quizzes and exams, ayah practice, the community, live sessions and 1-on-1 sessions, AI-assisted help, reminders and features of the app. These tools are there to make learning easier. They are not part of the lifetime access promise. We may change, improve, limit (for example a fair daily limit), replace or stop any of them, or offer some of them only in a separate plan. If a change takes away a tool that students already use, we will try to tell you by email at least 30 days before.
6. Live Classes and 1-on-1 Sessions
- Live classes may be recorded and shared with the students of that class. If you do not want to appear in a recording, keep your camera and microphone off.
- A booked 1-on-1 session can be moved or cancelled from the portal up to the time shown there. A session missed without notice may count as used.
- We may move a live class or session because of the teacher’s illness or other reasons, and will tell you as early as we can.
7. Quizzes, Exams and Certificates
- Quizzes may be taken twice. A final exam may be taken once, within its time limit. The teacher may allow another attempt where there was a genuine problem.
- Exams must be done by the student alone. A certificate earned by cheating, or by someone else on your account, may be withdrawn.
- Certificates confirm that you completed a course or passed its exam at The Arabic Guide. They are not a degree or a qualification from a government or university body.
- Anyone with a certificate’s ID can check it on our website; the check shows the name, the course and the date.
8. Printed Books
- Printed books are delivered within Pakistan by our courier. The delivery time shown (for example 7 to 10 days) is an estimate, not a guarantee.
- For cash on delivery, please be available to receive and pay for the parcel. If a cash-on-delivery order is refused without a good reason, we may ask for advance payment on future orders.
- If a book arrives damaged, or is not the book you ordered, tell us within 3 days of delivery with a photo, and we will replace it.
9. Your Posts, Comments and Reviews
- You are responsible for what you post in comments, the community, questions and reviews. It must be respectful and must not break anyone’s rights.
- By posting, you allow The Arabic Guide to show your post and your display name on the website and in its marketing (for example a review), without payment. You may ask us to remove your review at any time.
- We may hide, edit or remove any post, and mute or suspend members who break these rules.
10. Religious Content and AI Answers
- Our courses teach the Arabic language to help students understand the Quran. Explanations are for learning; they are not a fatwa. For religious rulings, please ask a qualified scholar.
- Some answers and drafts may be written with the help of AI and checked by our team. They can still contain mistakes. If something seems wrong, please ask your teacher.
11. Intellectual Property
- All course content, including videos, books we publish, notes, quizzes, exams, text, designs and the software of the portal, belongs to The Arabic Guide or its teachers.
- You may not record, download (other than the PDFs we offer for download), share, publish, reproduce or resell any of it without our written permission. Sharing paid content leads to the account being closed without a refund, and we may take legal action.
12. Payments, Refunds and Chargebacks
- Access to a paid course starts after the full payment is received. For bank transfers and mobile wallets, access starts once we have confirmed the payment.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
- If you dispute a payment with your bank or card company (a chargeback) instead of asking us for a refund, access to the courses paid for is paused while the dispute is open, and is removed if the payment is reversed.
13. Changes to the Service
- We may change, update or stop any part of the service, except as promised in sections 4 and 5.
- We are not responsible for short interruptions, for example during maintenance, internet problems, or problems at our hosting, video, payment or courier providers, but we will work to fix them quickly.
14. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, The Arabic Guide is not liable for any indirect loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the course or product the claim is about.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. The date of the latest version is shown below. For an important change we will tell students by email or in the portal. Using the website after a change means you accept the new terms.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute will first be discussed with us in good faith; if it cannot be settled, it will be heard by the courts of Islamabad, Pakistan.
17. Privacy
How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
